Ahead of local body polls, Jana Sena puts special focus on north Andhra districts

Jana Sena Party (JSP) seems to be putting special focus on North Andhra districts such as Vizianagaram, Srikakulam and Parvatipuram-Manyam to gear up the party for next local body elections. JSP general secretary and MLC Konidela Nagababu’s recent visit and his interaction with leaders of all the districts assumed significance. He held a review meeting in a resort located near Bhogapuram and sought their suggestions for the strengthening of the party in all villages and mandals of the regions.

The party won Bhogapuram and Palakonda Assembly seats in the 2024 general elections. It also got a few nominated posts after the formation of the government. The party is hopeful that it would get a sufficient number of ZPTC and MPTC seats in future although it was given only two Assembly seats in the general elections.

Nellimarla MLA Lokam Madhavi, JSP leaders Avanapu Vikram, Avanapu Bhavana, Gurana Ayyalu, Babu Paluru and others from Vizianagaram briefed the party’s position in various places of the district to Mr.Nagababu who in turn suggested them to identify right persons and provide training while explaining policies of JSP.

Srikakulam Urban Development Authority Chairman Korikana Ravikumar, JSP Srikakulam district president Pisini Chandramohan, JSP-Etcherla in-charge S. Vishwakasen and others also had separate interaction with Mr.Nagababu and explained the recent party activities in various constituencies. The leaders expressed satisfaction over the review meeting and hoped the party would get further impetus whenever local body elections are held in the State.

Mr. Nagababu reportedly suggested concentrating on public issues and bringing them to the notice of the officials and the party high command for the follow up action at Amaravati. He said that JSP president and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan’s clean image had become a big asset for the party and it would be easy for the leaders to take steps to improve the network in all corners of three districts.
