The Hyderabad Traffic Police issued an advisory for commuters in the central zone about congestion on Friday ahead of the annual Jagannath Rath Yatra procession.
Organised by ISKCON, Abids, the religious procession will begin at 11 a.m. from NTR Stadium near Indira Park, and will proceed towards the Exhibition Grounds, covering key junctions along the way. The yatra is expected to conclude by 5 p.m.
The route spans Dharna Chowk, Ashok Nagar X roads, RTC X road, Narayanguda X road, Himayatnagar Y-junction, Liberty X roads, Basheerbagh X roads (beneath the flyover), BJR Circle, SBI Gunfoundry, Taj Mahal Junction, Bata T Junction, GPO Circle, MJ Market crossroads, and Malakunta before reaching the final destination.
The Hyderabad Traffic Police have cautioned of likely congestion and announced that traffic will either be halted or diverted in phases as the procession moves along. Motorists are urged to plan ahead, use alternative routes, and cooperate with traffic personnel to ensure minimal disruption.
