Two kids drowned in a small lake in Thirusulam on Saturday.
Satishkumar, a resident of Rani Anna Nagar in Thirusulam, was an auto driver. On Saturday his son Hansik Sai along with his school friend Magadeesh were playing outside the house. When Satishkumar returned home both Hansik and Magadeesh were not found in the locality. Both the parents of the kids, who were studying in Class 2 of a private school, started searching for them. Satishkumar then went to the small lake formed due to stone quarrying located in their area and found the two children drowned in the lake.
Based on the alert given by the parents Fire and Rescue services personnel along with Pallavaram police retrieved the bodies of the two children and sent it to Chromepet Government hospital for post mortem.
