Police constables belonging to 2008 batch handed over ₹26.65-lakh assistance to the family of deceased batchmate Vijayababu on Tuesday.
Following the demise of the constable, attached to Tallakulam police station, the constables mobilised the fund among their batchmates. Commissioner of Police J. Loganathan handed over the funds in the form of deposits made in the name of the family members.
