Interacting with journalists, he alleged the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) tried to create communal tensions and is not dependent on people. On the Murugan devotee conference held in Madurai on Sunday, he said the BJP takes up the names of gods to create politics with religion. “Lord Muruga will not accept the BJP denying Tamil Nadu the funds due from the Centre for education of children. How will Muruga accept the Centre’s betrayal to Tamil Nadu? Lord Muruga will destroy the BJP in the 2026 Assembly elections,” he claimed.
