A worker was injured at the Koyambedu Metro Rail site on Saturday. Around 10.30 a.m., the worker, Radhu Kaivart, who was engaged in the construction of the viaduct for the phase II project at Koyambedu accidentally placed his hand while unloading the shear rings of column and had a minor injury in the process. He was given first aid and was also taken to a nearby hospital. Officials said, the safety team met him and that he was doing well.
